Review: Laneige BB Cushion in Shade #23 Sand Beige
Hello, my blog! It seems that all the recent products you've been reviewing are from Althea. Not that I blame you. It is, after all, offering you happiness at a discounted price.
Also, I live in a place with limited options in terms of korean brands.
And well, shopping online is the best thing to youtube.
So here it is, the Laneige BB cushion fresh from the pink box.
*Cringe*
NOTE: Baby powder bad!
And then I grew up, became poorer, and more obsessed in makeup.
Also, I discovered online shopping.
I remember being so scared going inside the Laneige store when I went to buy their sleeping mask. Everything looks so posh and fragile and I felt so inadequate. Thank you capitalism for online shopping.
God, I love capitalism sometimes.
When I was a freshman college, I sincerely thought that if I could have this, all my beauty woes will just vanish. I read so many blogs about this. I even imagined myself having this in my bag and retouching in-between classes like a proper ersatz koreyana.
Today, I find out the truth! Let's open this beautiful box.
So these are the contents of the box. You have the beautiful cushion, the refill, and the instruction manual. The case is really sturdy and it looks pretty damn good.
The famous puff. Squishy. Puffy puff.
The inside is sealed. This is a pretty important thing. It's also important to close this cap when you're not using it. Apparently, the contents will go bad if exposed to the elements for a long time. That cap is the first defense of your cushion basically so make sure it is clean and shut it tight.
Here is the actual product. This is filled with 15g of product which is a good amount for money and also an amount that you can easily finish before things go bad. AS it comes with 15g refill, it is actually levelled with less expensive cushions if you consider the product you get.
Here are instructions on how to use the product, how to replace the product with the refill, and how to clean the puff. The last bit s very very important because your puff is always in contact with the product and your face ALL THE TIME. And it can get pretty disgusting. You can also buy backup puffs because #walangforever.
Here is te product after a light dab. This is shade 23 Sand Beige. I believe they only have two shades so this is the darkest available color. I know it looks dark in the sponge but it actually is still light when you apply it on your face. It isn't such a bad match for me. Unfortunately, the skin of my neck is darker than that of my skin (because I used to not apply sunscreen on my neck, stupid life choice).
Here it is in natural sunlight. Oil management is okay. Of course, I still put on my innisfree no sebum pact after because I can not go out of the house without that. The coverage is pretty good. It is very convenient and easy to use. Doesn't cake on me. Unfortunately, it makes the veins at the edges of my eye area turn a very obvious bluish gray so I am careful not to put anything on that area. Doesn't really cover my eyebags but nothing really does so I don't hold that against it.
Also, the expiration date is at the bottom and I am putting it here because let truth be told, this is really the most important thing to remember, isn't it?
